Hew-Eye+Arms'_Anatomy

Close up detail on Hewryu's eye as well as in depth anatomical views of his strange katar-like arms. As one might guess, his blade can extend and recede at his will by the use of many complicated muscle structures as well as a vast nerve system. The blade itself is produced within his body, and can be reproduced on the off chance the old blade is destroyed. The blade is made from highly condenced Carbon (just like an uncut diamond) and various other minerals that can be found in ample supply throughout his body. The blade is connected to his arm by a nerve network, tendons and bones. It is housed snuggly in a sheath-like mound on the top of the arm (upon each, a deep scar of my hew-nitial). On each knuckle, a thick boney spike protrudes; this bone spike has no nerves (so blunt force won't cause pain) and is extremely dense, and is used for heavy-smashing blows. Though the forearms are quite large, the upper arm is not so muscular, but is just as strong. When the blade is extended, the forearm is little more than a mass of muscles and bones, like any other arm. When the blade has receded back inside the arm, the forearm makes for a very tough and durable shield with the solid blade only inches below the surface. The skin itself is very durable dragon skin that keeps the body temperature consistant and is both water and fire proof.
